Universal Health Services Selects Wellsoft EDIS for All 25 Acute Care Hospitals |

UHS is planning to use Wellsoft EDIS to serve a combined total of over 800,000 ED patients each year Somerset, NJ – March 1, 2009 - Wellsoft Corporation is pleased to announce that Universal Health Services, Incorporated (UHS), headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania has selected its Emergency Department Information System (EDIS). UHS will initially implement Wellsoft EDIS in five of their acute care facilities. UHS is planning to use Wellsoft EDIS to serve a combined total of over 800,000 ED patients each year in its 25 Emergency Departments. UHS hospitals provide healthcare in community-based hospitals in many parts of the United States. In order to ensure that UHS is strategically positioned to have a seamless electronic health record (EHR) in their acute care facilities, UHS conducted an analysis and EDIS system selection. To continue to improve efficiency and to assist with streamlining quality patient care, UHS determined that clinical management systems would be enhanced through the implementation of a comprehensive EDIS suited for its facilities. “UHS looks forward to having an easy-to-use system available to our busy Emergency Department personnel.
